All students—both in-person and online—must have a laptop or tablet with Zoom and Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. (Both programs are free to download.)
To ensure your success in our Home Inspection Training Program, all students must meet the following minimum computer skills. These are essential for participation in our interactive, online learning environment.
Basic Computer Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of either Windows, Macintosh, or Linux operating systems
File Management
- Understand how to save files and locate them later on your computer
- Be able to download and open email attachments
Software Familiarity
- Know how to use Adobe Acrobat Reader (for reading PDFs)
- Be able to install and run Zoom software for video conferencing
Communication
- Have a functioning email account and know how to use it
Important Note:
These computer basics are required for all students. Without them, it won’t be easy to succeed in the course. If you are unsure about your skill level, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us before registering.
